We are able to do this because teachers are needed less online than we had anticipated, because the online teacher notes are so helpful. This allows each teacher be in contact with more students. This makes our Christian Teacher Support for Student Studies program much more affordable. Christian teachers are often notoriously underpaid because they "do it for the Lord" so you do the math and please do not begrudge them the mere pittance they receive for doing this. Cost of Enrollment Enrollment and Admission Payments Academies (Schools) Proctors PaymentsEach student must purchase the Study Guide Book for each subject, which in most cases is $38.00. Our $50.00 tuition fee per class per quarter using Christian Teacher Support for Homeschool Studies includes a personalized student web page with links to each chapter of teacher support for Landmark's Study Guide and all of the HTML extras and help provided by our staff. Tuition fees must be paid before students may begin each next quarter of any courses. Students should finish the quarter in all classes being taken before advancing to the next quarter in the class. This will make record-keeping and quarterly payments much easier to track. Payments
can be made by using PayPal: A nine-week quarter completion agreement is of such a short duration, we will not refund tuition. You must pay for nine weekly lessons of work per course and our teachers work accordingly. Because we have not required you to pay the whole year's tuition in advance, but quarterly instead, we feel that this will help many to more easily come up with the smaller amounts and it will allow us to hire teachers with the assurance that that they will have the student for the nine lesson minimum. This will also help academies (schools) in determining a grade - no credit will be earned unless, and until, the quarter is completed, however, partial grades will be sent to a new school requesting student transcripts. Workbooks from Landmark's Freedom Baptist Curriculum come complete w/answers, quizzes w/answers, and quarter tests w/answers. If you are just wanting the books on your own, the books from Landmark are presently selling for $38 per each yearly class subject (most subjects), so $38 x 6 classes = $228. This varies slightly at the Kindergarten Level ($75 kit), and at First Grade level (only five books for six subjects = $38 x 5 = $190). High school Spanish costs a little more because it includes a tape and has two books. A couple of the High School electives are one semester courses and those books cost $28. The books for all classes are soft-cover and have Study Guide lessons in them for completion by the student. The books also contain loose-leaf yellow answer pages for easy monitoring of progress at home. Quizzes w/answers and quarter tests w/answers also come with each Study Guide workbook. Most are 36 week, 2 semester courses. The LFBC curriculum may be ordered through us or directly from Landmark. The decision concerning whether to join an academy (school) and the financial compensation due to a proctor is up to each family. Landmark Christian Academy also has a $150.00 annual fee and maintains records for families who home school their children.. Either school will keep and update student transcripts of records as any other school would. Should you choose instead to register with another school, they will also more than likely charge a fee. If you do not wish to register with any school but still want to have the teachers and the classes, then there would not be a need for registration. choose, we must wait until the cash is deposited: PayPal is immediate, money
orders depend on the speed of the U.S. Post Office, and checks need to be clear
the banks involved before we order books or provide services, often running up
to 14 days after we deposit your check.
The amount you would pay a quiz proctor
is an additional cost to you and would be determined between you both. A
typical quiz session would consist of a quiz in each subject and should take
about 45 minutes, to complete. We suggest that $5.00 from each student per
quiz session (regardless of how many quizzes taken) would be a nominal and fair
fee.
